From 5th to 9th May 2008, the IFAT 2008 presented environmental solutions from all over the world in Munich. For the first time, the Bergmann group presented their newest clarification technologies as part of the "European Co-operation for Global Waste Water Purity".
Together with their partner, the Bergmann group presented clarification solutions which they developed for the diverse regional, geographical and climatic conditions of our planet. These innovations will lead to sustainable cost reduction in decentralized sewage treatment. At the centre of the combined fair appearance stood the improved and even more efficient turbulent-fluid-bed-biofilm-process(WSB®).
The modular cleaning stages which support the flexibility of the biofilm process are also presented for the first time to international trade visitors on the IFAT 2008. They consist of individual modules for the elimination of nitrogen, phosphorus as well as for sanitation. Combined, they lead to a cleaning result in bathwater quality. The sanitation stage is based on a membrane system which produces the highest cleaning results with low maintenance costs. A fact, which characterizes the entire product family of WSB clean®.
Temperature independence, below 0 °C as well as at values beyond 30 °C., contributes to the efficiency of the clarification process. This is an essential basis for the worldwide use of WSB clean®. Along with these fundamental technology advantages, GPS-control for remote monitoring of decentralized clarification technology, as well as, specific sewage treatment solutions for the tourism sector were presented on the IFAT 2008. The ecologically sustainable treatment of waste waters gains particular importance for hotels and vacation resorts. On one hand, this is required by the authorities and, on the other hand, increasingly demanded by the visitor. Selected pilot projects from Europe and North America were presented to the interested fair visitor.
In parallel, the Norwegian company Anox Kaldnes presented groundbreaking technologies for large clarification plants. The co-operation of these two companies not only shows that European co-operations work well, it also proves that competences can complement one another. The bundling of resources lets WSB clean® be present with still more locations worldwide.
