WSB® clean max combines the „fluid bed biofilm process“ (WSB®) with the „sequencing batch reactor process“ (SBR) to the SBBR process (sequencing batch biofilm reactor). As secondary clarification is not required, the plant is very compact. Additionally, you have the advantages of the WSB® process. This combination results in a waste water treatment plant with highest cleaning performance for low operating and maintenance costs.

The plant consists of a preliminary clarification and buffer tank as well as the bioreactor. In the first tank a preliminary clarification of the waste water from coarse particles takes place and then the waste water is stored until the biological treatment stage is ready. The storage of the surplus sludge from the biological cleaning step also takes place here.
In the bioreactor the waste water is seedily aerated and thus mixed with the biomedia. After aeration a resting step follows during which coarse particles sink to the bottom. Clear water results, which is removed from the tank via a discharge pipe. After a further resting phase, denitrification takes place.
